Re: Music. (the continuation)

While we are allready on the topic of singers with great voices, I give you one of the modern day singers who can sing without autotune:

Re: Music. (the continuation)

I got some spicy Music Drama for all of you: Oliver Tree releases a song called Jerk . Then parts of this song get sampled (remixed? Not sure about the terminology) by Berlin based Techno-DJ Southstar in a song called "Miss You" . Important to note here, Southstar's (new) label did clear up all lega...

Re: What are you watching now ? Movies and TV

@ mr.WHO: Why is pretty much agreeing with what you then said being labelled by you as 'rather inaccurate advice' ? :gruebel: The comment was that watching Avatar 1 was optional (or is it lost in translation? quote"watching the first may not be a bad idea"). I wrote that there is no point in watchi...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

So the poll about rather Musk should step down as CEO of Twitter just concluded and maybe this will bring this very strange saga to it's final conclusion as a majority of Twitter users voted for Musk to leave . The people have spoken or something. I personally am sure Musk will continue to find ways...

Re: What are you watching now ? Movies and TV

To be quite honest I don't think I actually care about the story or writing at all. :D That has never been what I watched a James Cameron movie for to begin with. All I want to see is some amazing special effects. It is over 3 hours though... 🫢 Btw I havent watched the first Avatar.. is this mandat...

Re: What are you watching now ? Movies and TV

Avatar 2 plot in short: - Dumb children got captured by villain - MC go and rescue them - Dumb children got captured again Repeat like 6 times across 3 hour movie. Amazing peak writing and storytelling :P To be quite honest I don't think I actually care about the story or writing at all. :D That ha...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

Yes it is. Posting flight data however is not doxing. (Civilian) Flight data is public data, avaliable to everyone and it has been available to everyone long before Musk bought twitter. You can watch all worldwide civilian flights in real time on this website: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ The re...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

Isn't doxing a "hateful conduct and encouraging to violence" according to pretty much all social media standards? Yes it is. Posting flight data however is not doxing. Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

Short update on Elon "Free Speech" Musk and his crusade the finally kill twitter. He recently suspended a bunch of journalists from twitter including journalists from the New York Times and Washington Post. The bans came after Musk claimed that by reporting on his banning of a twitter account who po...

Re: Russia-Ukraine War

I hope that by the time Russia launches the next big offensive Ukraine will have robust air defenses, plenty of aircraft (a few F-16s might disappear from US storage?), long-range missiles, more ammo than they know what to do with and trained soldiers to use all of it. F-16s would not help Ukraine ...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

@clakclak Indeed, Germany has a massive problem there. In my eyes it is beyond repair, thus I won't invest in that country anymore. All this would achieve is to help racists gain more ground. Not an option for me, although I understand your feeling. I have many people here who I love and I would li...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

I mean, good riddance of those 25. But what about the ten thousands neo-nazis that are still on the loose? Is there a crime they're in the process of/have committed that means they can be prosecuted? I don't know German law, so I don't know... and I certainly don't know what tens of thousands of fa...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

I don't really think any forgein intervention is needed. Don't forget we are talking about Germany here. In our country climate activists get arrested under something called "Präventivhaft" (preventive arrest), which is an arrest without any charge. In Bavaria they can be held for up to two months ...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

Oh please. Finally stop with this insanity of comparing soldiers hoarding guns with specific plans to overthrow the government to people who glue themselves to streets and who's most dangerous weapon is a can of soup. While I agree that those two are on different level of danger, it doesn't mean th...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

On the other hand you could also ask why such a meager number of public enemies arrested makes it even a topic for international media. Because people will read/watch it, as has just been proven in this very thread. Was it really that much of a struggle to understand why certain "news" becomes news...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread

So who do we have here (based on what I gethered from German news sources as well)? At least one crazed former member of the KSK (that is basically Germany's version of the Delta Force), who is potentially a VERY dangerous individual. He is one of multiple former (also active?) soldiers. There is a...

Re: Russia-Ukraine War

I've been reading that opposition to the war is growing in Russia, but I also get that 'opposition' is a dangerous place to be in an authoritarian state. I wonder if there's any chance that dissenting voices will grow so loud that those close to Putin will start to rethink their allegiances. Call m...
